She is also the co-founder of BEM | books & more, the bookstore for Black food literature, which she and her sister Danielle launched in January 2021.
Gabrielle has programmed music, dance, and performance for tiny clubs and large-scale venues alike since 2015. During her time at THE OFFICE performing arts + film, she was on the curatorial team at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival and helped produce a range of art happenings including a music theater premiere by internationally-acclaimed musician and activist Angélique Kidjo. Her earliest producing jobs in global music & jazz festivals ignited her drive to work in live arts that inspire, provoke, and delight.
Other credits include: Mile-Long Opera, The Kennedy Center, globalFEST, Joe’s Pub, and The Hum. She is currently producing and co-curating a celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary at BRIC.
Gabrielle writes words and music in her free time. She’s always eating a snack.
